Maintaining the quality of your wooden floor may seem like something of an arduous task but thanks to the range of accessories which are now available from well respected brands such as Bona, it is now much easier to keep your new floor looking exactly that, new, for as long as your so wish. This product is designed to assist the natural shine of your brand new flooring, meaning that even after time has passed, your oak, maple, ash floor will still look as new as it did the day you installed it.

Bona Care Refresher is a ready-to-use waterborne maintenance coating for most finished and pre-finished wooden floors in commercial and domestic areas. It revives a scratched and dull surface giving a newly finished look and continuing protection against wear.

How to do?
NOTE: Applying Refresher to a satin or low gloss surface will increase the gloss level. Always do a test section first.

Remove loose dirt and grit from your floor. Clean floor thoroughly with Bona Care Floor Cleaner. Repeat to ensure that dirt will not be trapped in the coating. Make sure the floor is completely dry before applying Refresher.

Rock container back & forth several times before opening. Apply Refresher with the Bona Microfiber applicator pad. Prepare the applicator pad by slightly dampening it with water. Apply Refresher in a 3-4 cm wide wavy line on the floor. Work on a small section at a time, about 3 m2.

Spread Refresher over entire small section making sure all wood is covered. The Refresher should be applied at 30-50 m2 per litre. For best results, apply a thin consistent coat. Keep airborne dust and airflow to a minimum while floor is wet.

Smooth out Refresher, going with the grain of the wood. Continue the process until the entire floor is coated. Allow to dry a minimum of 2 hours before walking on coated floors. If needed, a second coat may be applied after this time. Always coat the entire floor to ensure an even appearance and sheen.

NOTE: Avoid heavy traffic and replacement of furniture and rugs for 24 hours after the final coat. Clean tools with soap and water.

MAINTENANCE
Wetcleaning of the floor may be resumed after one week. To keep the floor in good health use the Bona Care Floor Cleaning System regularly. Do not use strongly alkaline cleaning agents as they may damage the floor. For floors in homes, one or two applications of Refresher a year is usually enough to protect the floor. Inspect the floor occasionally to ensure that the maintenance schedule is reflecting the level of wear.

PRECAUTIONS
Bona Care Refresher is for use on finished wooden floors only. Do not use over any floor that has been waxed or oiled. Wax and oil residues will prevent the proper adhesion of Refresher to the floor. Always test floors for adhesion in an inconspicuous area before use.
